In regards to speed limit laws, let's say hypothetically they were removed in the states that have them: Police officers would simply use their better judgement and if they felt someone was driving "dangerously" reserve the right to stop them? Is it Montana that doesn't have speed limit laws? wondering how they do it there.

I don't drive the speed I drive based on any sign, I simply drive the speed that I responsibly feel I will be able to handle the motor vehicle and adjust/react to any potential surprises/hazards. This is generally about 10 mph over the speed limit on slower roads and perhaps 20-25 on highways. This is annoying since in Maryland we have many counties with speed cameras which really don't make people drive slower, they simply make people slow down to avoid getting a ticket for one small stretch of a road and in the process slow traffic down to a pretty annoying degree.
