Couldn't decide between vote for Romney/Paul enthusiastically or reluctantly, then I thought about if I got a Romney/Paul shirt or bumper sticker or something, I'd mark out the Romney, so that made me realize I would be unenthusiastic imo.

I honestly can't see Ron Paul EVER joining forces with Romney. I would be completely shocked if that ever happened. I think I would officially lose hope in all humanity.

Well come on man, this is Ron Paul's last hurrah. Why wouldn't he accept a VP slot? He's trying to do whatever he can to influence the country and course of government, he could have some influence as VP.

Four more years of Dr. Paul in Washington? Heck yeah. Plus the tie breaking vote in the Senate(even if there is close little chance of that power being used these days). Sounds good to me.

As much as I would like that show of faith to we libertarian-leaning people; that's all it would be. Vice Presidents don't have much control over anything.
If Ron Paul is not the Republican nominee, I will take a good look at the Libertarian nominee.
You can still write it in. Even if you print out a fucking note saying Ron Paul.
My plans are to defile the ballot and make a scene imo. I could write him in but it wouldn't be counted, so I think I'll just say something like "can I write in a candidate? No? No? Ok, fuck this state *rips ballot*, fuck this country *rip*, fuck democracy, *rip*, have a nice day *throw shredded ballot on floor and leave*

I would vote enthusiastically. Once Romney is finished molding himself int the public eye enough to win the election, he'd then be putty in Paul's hands...muwahaha

If these were the scenarios, then yes I would have to say Libertarian ticket as Gary Johnson is the front runner and he has experience to back him up as well from being a 2x governor of New Mexico. He would be a great president for this nation, and honestly I see him being the president within the next 3 presidential election cycles.
DO NOT be down though folks, as there is a new ballot choice this election under the name Americans Elect. People get to choose who they want, not a party, to vote on. So far Ron Paul has the most supporters on Americans Elect's website, even more than Obama and Romney, who are both on there as well.
If Paul cannot get the GOP ticket, then perhaps he will be the front runner for Americans Elects option if we garner more and more support for him on the site.

This scenario wouldn't happen in a million years so we'll never really be faced with the choice.
I heard Ron Paul say a couple weeks ago something along the lines of what he was doing was not just a campaign for presidency but a movement. Giving in to a V.P. position would totally squash everything he has stood for IMO.
It would also never happen because it would be political suicide for the Romney capaign. I couldn't think of two people any more different than R.P. & Romney. A huge portion of the people who support Romney are moderates who are disenchanted with the Obama regime and just want to see something different in Washington. The second R.P. went to the V.P. spot those votes would go right back to Obama.

well, If Ron did not make the nomination, and he did accept the V.P. Slot. I would be very tempted to vote for that ticket, because I trust Ron and his discretion. If he chose that position, Im sure he would do it in such a way that he wouldn't just be a patsy, but would have some influence, especially in the financial department. Which is something Romney needs in his terribly vague plan.
It would be tempting to vote for that ticket, but at the same time, Im not sure that I wouldnt just want to write Paul in regardless.

I just think Romney has PLENTY of time to say something stupid and stick his foot in his mouth, which will inevitably leave the door open for Dr. Paul. So, I'm not really sweating it. Actually, I think Dr. Paul would do better with a 3rd party rather than a Romney-Paul ticket. The GOP can't b.s. the general election.

I couldn't see Ron Paul joining with Romney, and if he did, I feel as though all of his consistent principled stands would no longer mean anything. I would change my political affiliation because the only reason I'm still registered Republican is because I'm hoping to get the chance to vote for Paul in the primaries.
I would have to start looking into some of the Libertarian candidates.
I like what Edge said. Romney could be puddy to be molded. It's a sweet idea, and I'd be tempted to vote for that.
Buuut, I think if Ron Paul doesn't get the nomination I'll likely vote for a third party, but not necessarily the Libertarian party. Which is why I chose "Other". I'm thinking of the Justice Party and Rocky Anderson. But Gary Johnson is a contender. I'll have to look in more detail as the vote comes closer.
Bill Still (the man who made the Money Masters documentary) will also be running for President in 2012 for the Libertarian Party. So, he'll be another man that has called for the end of the Fed for many many years now.

I think that his understanding of the Fed alone makes him appealing to people like us who also understand that their money monopoly is responsible for pretty much all the suffering abroad (wars) and at home (unemployment). But I've watched a few of his other videos and would say I don't agree with him on nearly as many things as I agree with Ron Paul on. I think he is more of a situation where the message is more important than the messenger because what I have learned about money thanks to him I will be forever grateful for. However, I feel Ron Paul would get things done politically more than any other candidate. I'd hate to see someone other than Ron Paul get elected, but if that's the case, I would prefer it to be Bill Still. :/

I didn't say I had an answer, just that I wouldn't support that ticket! I'm almost tempted, seeing as how bad things are going, to hope Obama wins because I want someone who truly represents the disastrous policies that got us here to be the one holding the bag when the shit hits the fan!
I picked "other" because under the circumstances I would (and did) vote for Gary Johnson. I won't vote for just any "libertarian" however, we all know how party-voting turns out in the long run.
As far as the Romney/Paul rumors go, while I am a shade relieved (as much as possible considering I never believed it would happen) there's no way I'd trust the name 'Paul' again if that had occurred.
