I don't have time to watch the video. But, I agree with one of Schiff's arguments that I've heard him make before;
Europe's loss is our gain. People are still investing in America because they are fleeing from Europe. People are buying US Treasury bonds because they are a safe bet (relatively speaking). If you wanted to build a factory in 2012, where would you build it? Would you build it in socialist Europe? Would you build it in communist polluted China? Would you put it in Japan? If you're afraid of risk, you'd build it in America in a 'right to work' state.
Our general strategy is to inflict chaos around the world. Certainly, foreign chaos threatens to drag us down in the short term. But, in the long run, the USA stands to gain. It's like after WWII when all of Europe's infrastructure was decimated, and our factories reaped the benefits. Our people are eager to work (at a cheaper wage than previously). And our economy can be transformed into a manufacturing economy overnight.
I'm going backpacking in the Trinity Alps. Be back next week.
